I am broken.
Not was. Am.
I have bipolar 2 disorder, anxiety attacks and bouts of depression that get so heavy I can’t get out of bed.But that’s not why I am broken.I am broken because I lived like this in silence for decades. So I searched for a brotherhood of men, who I could talk to. I wasnt looking for a therapist. I wasn’t looking for a coach. I wasn’t looking for a savior.I was looking for someone to just be there. By my side. Waiting for me to tell my story on my time.So I searched everywhere for a men’s group that filled this need. Every one I found was faith based, full of macho rituals or selling me a self improvement book.The brotherhood that I was looking for didn’t exist. So I built Ember. For men who want to sit in silence or speak their truth.An ember is covered by the ash of what it once was. But buried under the ash it still holds its heat. Just waiting to be reignited into fire.Individually we are embers. Together we are the fire.
